1. Kansas City, Missouri

Kansas City water has no contaminants beyond E.P.A. limits, thanks to a clean source (the Missouri River) and lengthy treatment process.

2. Portland, Oregon
The E.P.A. declared Portland tap water so pure that it does not need filtration.

3. Louisville, Kentucky
Louisville was one of the first large cities to add fluoride to its water supply, helping to fight cavities and tooth decay. 

4. San Francisco
The city’s Public Utilities Commission says it tests the water supply an average of 100,000 times a year to make sure it meets safety standards.

5. MemphisAquafina bottled water is drawn from public water sources, including Memphis’ own municipal water system.
