When Hal Met Siri

Siri

This four-legged Siri with a vendetta is not to be trifled with.

Little Rock filmmakers Andrew McMurry, 18, and Nathan McMurry, 21, of Andrew Films, last Friday released one of the better Siri parodies to come out in the short span since the birth of Apple's tempestuous female artificial intelligence last October.

The two brothers produced the film with a zero-dollar budget and no filmmaking education. Andrew has been producing such shorts, and the accompanying special effects, for several years now, but just recently got his big brother into the game.

He told Portfolio.com he believes films with tech themes involving day-to-day items such as the iPhone and Siri have a lot of potential, and that for now he is satisfied working on such pieces as long as people keep enjoying them.

From electric explosions blasting through drywall to raining grenades and at least one other surprise, the young producers have set the bar a bit higher for future filmmakers hoping to gain some notoriety on the back of the most-talked-about new phone feature since they were first affixed with a camera lens.

Let the show begin.
