A Little Help With Web-Culture Gaps
The profusion of video entertainment on the Web is both a blessing and curse. Blessing, of course, because there's so much to see. Nothing but "Full House" reruns on TV? You've got to be able to find something better on YouTube or Hulu or MySpace TV.
The downside? That moment you feel foolish when you're standing around at the office with a bunch of 28-year-olds, and they're all laughing about the latest installment of "You Suck at Photoshop" -- and you wonder if someone made a video of what your boss is always telling you. And then you find out it's a popular new Web show, and you feel old.
So this can help a little: NewTeeVee just put up its list of "Top 10 Breakout Video Stars of 2008."
Videos, links, explanations, background -- give yourself 30 minutes and you'll feel right on top of things.
