-- Facebook C.E.O. Mark Zuckerberg says he's getting into the online music business to take on MySpace Music.

--IBM, bringing in big business even in a downturn, shows a 20 percent profit increase this quarter thanks to strong global sales.

--Sony Ericsson posts a third quarter net loss of $33.7 million while sales volumes beat analysts' expectations.

--Chip maker AMD shows improvement in the quarter with a net loss of $67 million versus a $396 million loss a year ago.
