The Most Entertaining Election-related Site

Kevin Maney writes: I am transfixed. I'm looking at Twitter's "Election 2008" site, which is sorting Twitter feeds for comments about the candidates, the debates, and son on. It's a hoot. Twitterites (Twitteronians? Twitterers? Twits?) can fire off some funny comments in 140 characters. Steven Colbert's Tweet just went by saying he's going to be actually interviewing Sarah Palin on air. Really? OMG, I can't wait to see THAT!

And you just KNOW that the Tweets are going to go off the hook once the debate starts tonight. More from Twitter: "During the first presidential debate in Oxford, Mississippi and each subsequent debate leading up to and beyond election day, Twitter will be performing real-time algorithmic analysis on millions of unedited public reactions. These trending topics along with a live ticker of continuously fresh opinions are available now at election.twitter.com."

More about this from Wired.
