Kindle Gets Exclusive First Lady Bios
Assuming you want to be among the first to read new bios of the potential first ladies, you will need a Kindle. The e-books are being released starting today, and only for Amazon's e-book.
In fact, if you want to read Cindy McCain's story, the Sept. 15 Kindle release may be your only shot -- Cindy McCain: Elegance, Good Will and Hope for a New America will only be published in print if John McCain wins the election. Ouch.
Michelle Obama's biography, Michelle Obama: Grace and Intelligence in a Time of Change, hits the virtual bookstore today, with a print version scheduled for release later this year.
This is a smart, but controversial move on Amazon's behalf, with the election two months away and new, swankier e-book readers popping up this week at DEMO.
Exclusive content (such as it is) can certainly boost any product or service. But ... put a Sarah Palin bio out on the Kindle exclusively and now you're talking.
