First Bytes: Google, Apple, RealNetworks, Yahoo, Kindle

- Real Dan Lyons has debuted at Newsweek, badmouthing Apple and comparing it to Microsoft, even as fans pine for Lyons' now defunct Fake Steve Jobs blog. [Newsweek.com, RDL]

- Speaking of "real," RealNetworks is today introducing new software for duplicating DVD's. Hollywood can't be amused. [NYT]

- Google's Marissa Mayer thinks Web search is 90 to 95 percent solved, via Google, of course. Arrington disagrees. Of course. [LA Times, TechCrunch]

- An advertising trade group has moved to oppose Yahoo's soon-to-be-implemented ad partnership with Google. [WSJ]

- A new e-newspaper challenge to Kindle, Amazon's successful digital book reader, adds another nail in the coffin for print newspapers. [NYT]
