"New Facebook" Looks Old
Kevin Maney sniffs: Is it just me, or does the "New Facebook" design look like something out of about 2001? Smarmy graphics. No sense of guiding your eye around the page. The page doesn't even settle into the size I make my browser window.
Users have been unsure about the new design in their blogs. Andrew Wee likes the tabbed friends but otherwise thinks the whole thing looks too corporate. Phrequency likes the cleaner look of getting rid of the app overpopulation on profile pages. Shawn Farner completely hates the new layout. Several bloggers note the rise of "hate the new Facebook" groups on Facebook.
I think I'm going to stick with the old Facebook until -- well, I wonder if Facebook will keep both options open. Like New Coke and Regular Coke!
