Gavin Was No Facebook Friend of Mine

Kevin Maney whimpers: And here I...I thought San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom was really my friend on Facebook. I could see his pics. I could look at his Wall. I poured over his "About me" section, which reads like a speech he might've given at a Rotary Club lunch. I did note that the number of his friends got up well over 4,000, but I still thought maybe I was special.

Well, it was all a ruse. Just a staff-published PR vehicle. Gavin probably doesn't even know what Facebook is. He's probably never poked anyone! I know all this because the of message posted on his page last night:

We are closing Gavin Newsom's personal Facebook page on Tuesday, July 29th, because we are unable to add more friends.
