A Gadget Blog On Twitter?
Blaise Zerega says why not. A few hours ago, my old buddy Pete Rojas put up a provocative Facebook status update. He writes: "I'm tempted to start a gadget microblog here on twitter, would be a nice challenge to have to write about gadgets in 140 characters or less."
I'm not sure if reporting this is a breach of Facebook etiquette, but Pete, of course, was founding editor of Gizmodo and Engadget, and now runs RCRDLBL, a record label offering completely free music. My reaction upon reading Pete's update was why the heck not?
Sure, 140 characters would make for terse gadget reviews, but in the end, if the reviews are from a trusted source it's the conclusion that really matters. Thumbs up or thumbs down. Buy or not to buy.
And with so much nonsense happening on Twitter, a microblog devoted to gadgets would be a bit of USEFUL information. Go for it, Pete.
