-- You think your tax bill is bad? In South Korea, a former top tech executive faces a $109 million fine for tax evasion. On the upside, Lee Kun-hee, one of South Korea's richest men, doesn't have to go to prison. The billionaire received a three-year suspended sentence. [IHT, Reuters]

-- Intel, which reported strong earnings Tuesday, could be slapped with new antitrust charges in Europe. The chip giant has been accused of using "inducements" to discourage European vendors from selling computers with chips made by the Intel's arch-rival, Advanced Micro Devices. [WSJ]

--  Terry Childs, a 43-year-old soon-to-be-former San Francisco city employee, is sitting in jail right now on charges he effectively shut down the city's municipal computer system, blocking other officials from using it. He's being held on $5 million bail, and refuses to divulge the master system password. [San Francisco Chronicle]
