Swarmcast and MLB.tv: More Games, But Worth It?
Today baseball's MLB.tv and Swarmcast will unveil a grander offering of live baseball games over the Internet for the 2008 season -- some 2,430 games on Swarmcast's Autobahn Platform. MLB claims it's the largest implementation of live TV on the Net. Probably true, since there's not a lot of live TV on the Net just yet.
I admit I haven't tried MLB.tv, but lots of bloggers have not-great things to say about it.
Interesting the MLB did not choose to go with either of the major on-line TV entities backed by the big TV networks. Not Joost, which has CBS behind it; nor Hulu, backed by Fox and NBC.
