Commentary on Our Times: Meebo Worth More than Bear Stearns?

As the headline in VentureBeat points out, instant messaging Web site Meebo -- which has yet to prove it has a way to make much money -- is trying to raise a round of financing that would value the company at $200 million to $250 million.

JP Morgan Chase is rescuing investment banking giant Bear Stearns, paying $236 million.

How crazy is that?
