Yo! MC Entrepreneur Is In the House
MC Hammer is an interesting character. He lives in Oakland, near Silicon Valley, and has a lot of pretty good tech friends, including Marc Benioff of Salesforce.com. Probably no one in music has tried harder to use technology to come back from being so washed up he'd become a punch line.
About 18 months ago, I talked with Hammer about some of his Web efforts surrounding the release of his Look3X album.
Now, he's about to launch a Web site called Dancejam.com. Seems like a cross between YouTube and "So You Think You Can Dance."
