Beacon: How Do You Turn It Off?

All these stories today about how Facebook blew it with Beacon and will allow users to turn it off. But I can't find any that say HOW to turn it off. I just searched all through my Facebook account-information pages and couldn't find any reference to turning off Beacon. On the Web, I did find one way users can grab a piece of software that blocks Beacon.

I had my first encounter with Beacon this week -- I tried out the new Hulu video site and next thing I knew, Facebook changed my status to say I was looking at Hulu. That's pretty disturbing. How in the world did Facebook decide Beacon was a good idea? Did they actually ask any users? Can't imagine why anyone would like it.
