Will Even My Mom Ditch Vista For a Mac?
More Vista sniping on Slashdot today...
Here's how deeply the concerns about Vista have reached into the public consciousness: Over Thanksgiving break, my mom talked with me about wanting to buy a new laptop. She has an aging Dell running Microsoft XP Home and has always owned a Windows-based computer. But she's not so sure she wants to migrate to Vista, and plans to drop by her local Apple store and see about a Mac.
Of course, then every time the TV was on, those brilliantly low-key Apple ads came on, sticking needles into Vista...
