Hot Coming Market: Super-cheap Little Laptops
Lot of buzz about a nifty little $300 laptop called the Eee PC. It seems obvious that there will be a hot market awaiting these kinds of devices -- just look at the excitement over One Laptop Per Child's XO computer.
Yeah, a lot of people want and need a $1,000 laptop with all the fixin's. But a whole lot of people don't -- they just need a laptop that can handle e-mail and the Web, and is easy to carry. For $300, consumers can snap one up as a spare, or as a travel laptop so they can leave their multi-poundage monster at home.
