Can't Find That Facebook App
Right now, Facebook lists 6,702 applications that you can download and put on your Facebook page. This is now Facebook's problem.
There are just too many. There's no rating system to easily see what ones people find best or most useful. There's no good way search keywords to find exactly what you're looking for. Type "maps" and you get everything from TravelBuddy, which lets you show people the countries you've visited, to Unthirsty, which helps you find local happy hours. (OK, I might download that one.)
For that matter, the app I really want doesn't seem to exist. I want a map on my profile page that shows where all my friends (who would have to have the same app) are at that moment. If I click on my map to change my location, it shows up on all my friends' maps. That way, if I'm flying to Chicago, I can see if anyone else I know is there. I found something close, called Map Friends, but it's not quite it.
Maybe it exists. The way Facebook is now, I can't find it if it does.
(Map Friends -- sort of it, but not quite.)
