A Coming GoogleLife?
Speculation is popping around the Web about Google perhaps testing a virtual world type of offering that might rival Second Life. But so far, it seems to be just that -- speculation based on circumstantial evidence.
Funny, but a couple weeks ago, when interviewing Second Life creator Philip Rosedale, I asked him what he thinks Google thinks about Second Life. His answer: Second Life is still too small to either concern or attract the big players. And, with a little more hubris, Rosedale said that creating a virtual world is also a difficult technology problem and SL has a solid lead in that department.
