Virginia Tech Tragedy Review: Missing Something Big?

How strange that Virginia Tech investigated its campus shooting tragedy, and came up with all kinds of recommendations -- but apparently barely mentions text messaging.

Texts to cell phones is the surest way to alert the most college students the fastest way possible. Dozens of universities have installed text alerting systems -- Virginia Tech among them. But the report could have dived deeper into the topic, perhaps convincing yet more universities to adopt a text alert system.
