Black Google: To save you energy, Google now offers their homepage in black, since white screens suck up too much energy, which is bad for energy bills and bad for the environment.

SF Gate: Researchers at UC Davis found that the voting machines used in California, including Diebold and Hart InterCivic, can be hacked into. What's more, says computer security expert Mathew Bishop who led the study, the security systems seem like they were add-ons and not part of the machines' designs.

Mashable.com: Here's evidence of the first documented case of a call placed from an iPhone using a network other than AT&T. This successful hack job can place calls, but as for receiving them, that has yet to be figured out.
