Idea of the Day: The Laser Putter!
It appears that a couple of optics specialists based in Waterloo, Canada, have filed a patent that strikes me as brilliant. They propose building a golf putter that would have three built-in lasers -- one that projects over the ball, and two on either side. They would work like the lasers you use to align pictures on a wall or as a gun sight. Point them at the hole, and tap the ball in the right direction. □
