Gizmoz and Taco Bell Make Up a New Word
Avatarsment. That's the word. A combination of avatar and advertisement. The companies use it in their press releases. Yuk.
Anyway, Gizmoz -- the little Israeli company we wrote about in May -- cut a deal with Taco Bell to use the little animated Gizmoz characters in Taco Bell ads. The twist, according to the companies: Taco Bell has partnered with Gizmoz and MTV in search of three virtual consumer actors to star as animated talking characters in a 30-second Taco Bell?? television commercial. The ad for Fourthmeal -- the late night meal between dinner and breakfast -- will debut worldwide during the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on September 9, 2007.
