Today's Net Radio Silence

Sadly, I will not be clicking into one of my favorite spots on the Web today, the Pandora music service. This is because Pandora, Yahoo Music and hundreds of other Internet "radio" sites are going silent today to protest a destructive increase in royalty rates the sites will be forced to pay after July 15. Many of the sites have said the tripling of rates will close them down. Today, we'll get a glimpse of what that would be like. □
