Fun Lenovo Commercial in India
In Beijing last week, talked with Lenovo CEO Bill Amelio, who enthusiastically described what is apparently his favorite new Lenovo TV commercial. The company doesn't yet sell consumer-oriented PCs in the U.S., but it sells them in other parts of the world, including India. One of Lenovo's new consumer laptops includes face-recognition software that can be used for security -- instead of typing a password to get into the machine, the laptop recognizes your face.
Anyway, Amelio says the ad (below) is generating buzz around the product and bringing Indians into stores. Maybe we'll see a version in the U.S. when Lenovo starts rolling out consumer PCs late this year.
