Roger McNamee's New Gig

Roger McNamee, the long-haired guru of tech investing, seems to be firing on all cylinders. His investment firm, Elevation Partners -- which, as everyone in the industry enviously knows, has Bono as a partner -- just bought 25% of Palm.

But the other day, Roger told me about his other new accomplishment. After years -- decades? -- of leading his band Flying Other Brothers, he's started a new one: Moonalice. They've played about three gigs, including one in San Francisco's Union Square, and recorded a single. You won't find Roger's name anywhere on the band's Web site, so I guess it's a secret.
