Rush Hour: Woods and Nordegren Unscramble the Omelet

Today's hot business topics, boiled down to a couple of arbitrary quotes, comments, and tweets:

On Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren finalizing their divorce, nine months after news of Woods' infidelity came to light following a car crash and some teeing off by Nordegren:

"Some of you are acting like she shouldn't divorce him and get a lot of money. She should and she will. Should she go back to her income, when she was a nanny? Who forced him to propose? No one. If he strayed you can argue, she should maybe cut him some slack. Most men would have trouble if everywhere you turned a gorgeous woman was throwing herself at you. But he did more then that, the texts, the money, and the numbers, just too many. She deserves a lot for the embarrassment, and he deserves the right to be single again." —cynicalman46, commenting at CNN.

"I think it is awful. I also think if the media and the people stayed out of it, it might have had more chance to succeed. Stay out of peoples private lives." —Ken Easterling, commenting at Huffington Post.

On the record recall of more than 500 million eggs, believed to be linked to salmonella at two plants in Iowa:

"heck with it. i'm having an omelet with sea food tonite and a big mac for lunch tomorrow. ducking around wondering what's gonna kill me, i'd get run over by an electric car.'' —George Thomas, commenting at NPR.

"This is what you get when you let corporations self-regulate." —Netflyer, commenting at Huffington Post.

On Brad Pitt, an opponent of the death penalty, saying he would reconsider his opposition in the case of BP leaders:

"Almost a dozen people were killed in that explosion and tens of millions of people have lost their livelihood. In China, the execs would already be dead." —nycexpat, commenting at the New York Daily News.

"A Limosine Liberal who would oppose the death penalty for a cop killer or a serial killer, would be in favor of the death penalty for a CEO that had an industrial accident on his watch. This is proof positive that Liberalism truly is a mental disorder." —Pete from Long Island, commenting at the New York Daily News.
