Marketing The Simpsons: Will the Genius Ever Stop?

The Cerne Abbas giant is a 180-foot figure of a naked man carved into a hillside near the village of Cerne Abbas to the north of Dorchester in Dorset, England. Dating back to the 17th century, it's a famous symbol of fertility. And now he has a new friend: Homer Simpson. From The Sun:

A giant 180ft Homer Simpson brandishing a doughnut was painted next to the well-endowed figure today in a publicity stunt to promote The Simpsons Movie released later this month. It has been painted with water-based biodegradable paint which will wash away as soon as it rains.

Again, hats off to the folks at Fox. This is the best marketing campaign ever.
