The Citizen Kane/Transformers Connection
A friend of mine works with one of the actors (Tyrese Gibson) who is in Michael Bay's upcoming Transformers movie, which opens July 3. She saw it and swears that it's going to do HUGE business!!! (She's in publicity after all). But here's an interesting bit of film trivia about the robots in disguise--not from the new film, but the little-seen 1986 animated film. Transformers: The Movie was actually Orson Welles' last part before his death. Yes, the man behind Citizen Kane concluded his career by voicing Unicron, an evil shape-shifting planet moon.
