Why 2.5 Million Fewer People Are Watching TV

You could blame it on an early daylight savings time, bad original programming, too many re-runs, more compelling computerized entertainment or even a tracking system that is struggling to catch up with the DVR phenomenon. But the stat speaks for itself: 2.5 million less people are watching ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox than were a year ago at this time. Not the kind of news the networks want to hear a week before up fronts.
