Richard Branson's In-Flight Film Turbulence

Maybe money can buy you happiness (or at least a cameo in a massive Hollywood movie), but it can't always buy you airtime on British Airways. In cased you missed it this weekend, the the BBC is reporting that British Airways has cut a shot of Virgin Atlantic boss Sir Richard Branson from the in-flight version of the James Bond movie Casino Royale (the two companies have been rivals since Virgin got into the trans-Atlantic route business back in 1984). In the original film, Branson "was seen passing through an airport security scanner, but can only be seen from behind in the new edit." British Airways also blurs out the tail fin of the Virgin plane, which Branson supplied for the shoot. But don't feel too bad for Branson. He can still be seen in all his bearded billionaire glory in 2006's Superman Returns, piloting a space shuttle with his son, which actually ends up going down due to mechanical problems.
