The Power of Networking, Part 2
Microsoft paid plenty of attention to big customers today at its developers conference, but small businesses weren't forgotten. The company unveiled details of a new version of its Windows Small Business Server. Aurora, as it is known, will be targeted toward very small enterprises with five to 20 employees.
Aurora will be able to connect with "cloud" based applications such as email, which reside on shared, third party servers, thereby reducing computing costs for businesses.
Aurora also will feature default data backup, in which content is automatically saved to more than one disk. The new server will be available in August.
