Yahoo's New Ad Campaign Worse Than Y!ou Expected

Yahoo unveiled its new $100 million ad campaign today—the one people were already criticizing yesterday—and it's… Well, it's not good.

A release titled Yahoo! Puts Its Focus on 'Y!ou' spells it all out—with infuriating, counter-intuitive punctuation sure to give English teachers headaches.

"This is much more than an advertising campaign," says Elisa Steele, Yahoo executive vice president and chief marketing officer. "It's about how Yahoo! delivers its promise to the market in everything we do."

Y!es, but y!ou gotta be kidding with that spelling, right? I mean, y!ikes.
