Report: Time, Inc. Suspends Style & Design Quarterly

"Maybe fashion magazines should only come out twice a year."

That's what Time Style & Design editor Kate Betts told Ad Age's Lucia Moses last week.

Today, Time, Inc. decided they shouldn't come out at all in some cases. The New York Post's Keith Kelly reports that the quarterly is being suspended. Four staffers will be losing their jobs. Betts will continue to work for Time.

A spokesperson told the Post, "This really is a suspended publication.... We'd hope to bring it back when the economy improves."

While time—and the economy—will tell if it comes back, you can add the title the growing list of magazines folded in 2009.
