Fantasy Football Television Inroads Continue

The allure of fantasy football continues to bring changes to the television landscape.

Time Warner Cable is launching an updated version of an interactive fantasy-football tracker in five new markets, bringing the application to a total nine divisions for the 2007-08 season.

"My Football Tracker," will launch in Buffalo; Portland, Maine; and Waco, Corpus Christi and El Paso, Texas. Those markets will augment Columbia, South Carolina; Green Bay, Wisconsin; and Austin and San Antonio, Texas, which offered the service a year ago.

"My Football Tracker" can display a subscriber's fantasy results on-screen, regardless of which channel is being viewed, and can send out alerts if a player scores or hits other milestones. When it comes to fantasy football, every minute piece of information matters.

The application was developed with BIAP, an interactive-TV media company in Plano, Texas.
