NBC earned a 3.3 large-market Nielsen rating for the final round the the Tour Championship, Sunday's the final leg of the inaugural Playoffs for the FedEx Cup, up 200 percent from a 1.1 rating for the 2006 Tour Championship, which aired in early November on ABC.

Woods, 31, won the event to clinch the FedEx Cup title. Woods did not play in last year's Tour Championship. He made $1.26 million for winning The Tour Championship for his seventh PGA Tour title of the year and 61st of his career. He also won the four-tournament FedEx Cup and the $10 million that goes into his retirement account.
