-Hearst is ramping up distribution of its new Food Network magazine in a hurry. Supposedly it's a hit because the recession is making people cook for themselves more, and how can you find new recipes without a print magazine? [Ad Age]

-CBS chairman Les Moonves is going to be a daddy again at age 59. Early Show anchor Julie Chen is the mom, of course. [P6]. □
