Idle Chatter: Amazon, Leno, Pirates, Spitzer, more

-Amazon.com says a "ham-fisted cataloging error" made it appear as though the online book retailer had reclassified hundreds of books about gay and lesbian issues as smut. [Wired]

-The NBC station in Boston that had said it wouldn't carry Jay Leno's new 10 p.m. show has ever-so-grudgingly backed down in the face of a threat by the network to cancel their affiliation agreement. [WSJ]

-Spike TV has signed a deal to create the first of what will surely be many reality shows about pirate hunters. [AP]

-Good magazine has cut its frequency from six to four issues per year. The move follows a round of layoffs in December. [Folio]
