Late Breaks: Ax Falls Again at 'Tribune,' more

-After three rounds of cuts last year and another in February, the Chicago Tribune is reducing its newsroom headcount by yet another 20 percent. [Crain's Chicago Business]

-USA Today and The Wall Street Journal are both likely to take a big circulation hit now that Marriott has elected to stop giving all of its guests a free newspaper whether they ask for it or not. From now on, guests will be asked when they check in if they want one. [E&P]

-Journalism is fast turning into a non-profit enterprise. Why not make it official and enjoy the tax benefits, right? [Salon]
