-New York Times executive editor Bill Keller sent a sharply-worded letter to Vanity Fair defending his boss, Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. Keller says Mark Bowden's profile of Sulzberger was filled with "bombast," "recycled anecdotes" and "mistakes an elementary fact-checking should have caught."
