Idle Chatter: Book Deals for Bush and Obama, more

-George W. Bush has snagged his book deal, signing with Crown to pen a book about "decisions." Page Six hears he's getting $7 million for it. [AP]

-Barack Obama also made a deal for a couple new books, one a version of his memoir Dreams From My Father adapted for young readers, and the other an unspecified nonfiction book. He'll get $500,000 plus a cut of the back end for the former, while terms for the latter haven't been negotiated yet. [AP]

-Attorney general Eric Holder says he's willing to fiddle with current antitrust law if it'll help keep newspapers in business. [Reuters]

-Washington Post Co. chairman Donald Graham has been dumping his own company's stock. Why? [Barron's]. □
