Cancel This! 'Daily Show' Goes to Town on CNBC
Maybe it was time for Rick Santelli to cut short his post-rant victory lap, but doing it right before he was supposed to go on The Daily Show wasn't a great idea.
Jon Stewart used Santelli's cancellation last night as the hook for an eight-minute dissection of the network's stumbles, including its blown calls on Bear Stearns, Lehman Bros. and Merrill Lynch and some highly suspect investing advice from Jim Cramer.
Stewart: "Wow, if I'd only followed CNBC's advice I'd have a million dollars today...provided I started with a hundred million dollars."
That sound you hear today is the popping of champagne corks at Fox Business headquarters.
