'Hallmark Magazine' Folds

Just got an email from Lisa Benenson, the editor in chief of Hallmark Magazine. Or former editor in chief of former Hallmark Magazine, I guess I should say, since, as of today, it's the latest victim of the recession. From her email:

Our parent company, Hallmark Cards, has decided that due to current economic conditions, they cannot continue to invest. All of us who have spent the last 3 years on the magazine are of course terribly sad, but also proud of what was accomplished: We doubled ratebase, our ad sales were up 30 percent, and reader response was terrific. What's more, we laughed all the time and got to make a magazine we loved.
