Idle Chatter: Sirius Gets a Life Preserver, more

-Sirius XM will avoid bankruptcy, and CEO Mel Karmazin will avoid getting canned, with the help of a $530 million investment from Liberty Media. [AP]

-The Tennis Channel has said that it won't air a tournament in Dubai to protest the country's refusal to grant a visa to an Israeli player who was supposed to compete. [NYT]

-Remember that chimpanzee from the Old Navy commercials? It was shot to death after attacking humans, including a police officer. [NYP]

-Sure, Facebook owns the rights to your photos and personal information in perpetuity, but the company won't do anything sketchy with them. Honest! [LAT]. □
