-Anderson News, one of the biggest magazine wholesalers, says it has no choice but to shut down. The move comes a few weeks after Anderson tried and failed to impose a 7 cent-per-copy charge of magazine publishers for distribution. [Mediaweek]

-Sports Illustrated is set to make $3 million off advertiser-sponsored promotions for its annual swimsuit issue -- which is fortunate because the issue itself contains 33 percent fewer ad pages this year. [WSJ]. â–ˇ
