Late Breaks: 'PW' Editor Out; 'The Yahoo Times'?

-Reed Business Information laid off 7 percent of its workforce, a group that includes Publishers Weekly editor in chief Sara Nelson. [NYT]

-A Piper Jaffray analyst says Yahoo should buy a big content producer such as The New York Times Co. or Gawker Media. Same difference, right? [Barron's]

-Now that he's no longer writing for The New York Times, William Kristol will become a regular contributor to The Washington Post. [Politico]

-GateHouse Media and The New York Times Co. have settled a copyright-infringement lawsuit over the unauthorized use by the Boston Globe's website of GateHouse content. [Boston.com]

-New York Times TV critic Alessandra Stanley, who for a while seemed to have left her reputation for committing sloppy mistakes behind her, "has resumed her reign of error." [nytpicker]. □
