-The Minneapolis Star-Tribune, staggering under the debt of its private-equity buyout, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. [S-T]
-The longtime head of Hearst Magazines International is retiring; will his successor be the next president of Hearst's magazine division? [NYP]
-Budweiser's "iconic" Clydesdales are going to be all over the beer-maker's Super Bowl advertising in an attempt to reassure consumers that the company is still an American institution despite its Belgian ownership. (P.S. If you find the Budweiser Clydesdales poignant, you are a goober.) [WSJ]
-The Center for Science in the Public Interest is suing Coca-Cola over the marketing of Vitamin Water; the consumer group says claims that the sugary beverage improves immune function and wards of disease are bogus. [FT]
-Clear Channel is looking to eliminate $400 million in costs, meaning that some of its 30,000 employees are about to become ex-employees. [NYP]
