Idle Chatter: Golden Globes, AOL, Bill Keller, more

-Déjà vu: Mad Men and 30 Rock took top honors at the Golden Globes last night. Most of the other awards for TV went to HBO shows. [Variety]

-AOL is establishing a new business unit for its surprisingly large collection of niche websites. [NYT]

-American adults read more fiction in 2008 than they did the previous year, reversing a 25-year trend. How much of that was because of the Twilight books? [NYT]

-Hearst Corp. has put Seattle Post-Intelligencer up for sale, and says it will shut the paper down if it doesn't have a buyer within two months. [P-I]

-New York Times executive editor Bill Keller says the rumors that he'll step down in the next year or so -- well before he hits the mandatory retirement age of 65 -- are not true. Only he says it less politely. [Gawker]
