Idle Chatter: The Price of BlackBerry Addiction

-Is Amazon's market valuation propped up by a $9 billion "Kindle premium?" [Breakingviews on NYT]

-Signs are pointing to Autodesk CEO Carol Bartz becoming the chief executive of Yahoo. Former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin, who had been tipped as the front-runner, is said to have taken himself out of contention. [WSJ]

-If Barack Obama's public statements of fealty to his BlackBerry were part of an endorsement deal, it would likely be worth $50 million to $100 million. [NYT]

-American Media CEO David Pecker has reached a deal with bondholders and banks that should keep the company out of bankrupcy, and maybe even keep him employed for another year. [NYP]

-The syndicated Morning Show with Mike and Juliet is toast, although it'll linger on the air until September. [THR]. □
