Idle Chatter: One Super Size Fits All, more

-The extreme division within the Screen Actors Guild over whether or not to strike will likely limit the union's effectiveness in negotiations with the producers' alliance should a strike go forward. [NYT]

-NBC says it won't allow its Super Bowl ad units to be carved up into mini-spots. [THR]

-Tabloid publisher American Media is doing away with 401(k) contributions, reimbursement for gym memberships, and a slew of other benefits. [NYP]

-With ad spending falling, internet media companies are being forced to offer more and more "innovative" (ie. compromising) ad formats to attract dollars. Nytimes.com and Wsj.com are among those pushing the boundaries. [WSJ]. □
